With Domenici, Jr. in the race, it's a big primary

With Pete Domenici, Jr. officially in the 2010 Republican primary for governor now, it looks like the race will be one of the biggest in recent history. I at least can't remember so many GOP candidates for the top spot. . .

Another GOP candidate, Doug Turner, welcomed Domenici Jr. to the race on Sunday while Democratic Party Chairman Javier Gonzales attacked him, questioning his experience and some of the cases he's taken as an attorney.

Of course the race will only get more interesting from here. Opposition research is in full swing and tv ads will be up soon. I'd expect the first debates to take place in March or April ahead of the June primary.
